/ventar/ Lat. (ventre, Fr.)
The belly; the womb; the wife. Used in law as designating the maternal parentage of children. Thus, where in ordinary phraseology we should say that A. was B.'s child by his first wife, he would be described in law as "by the first venter"
A child is said to be enventre sa mere /onvontra sa mer/ before it is born; while it is a foetus
